Our piano teachers must enroll their students at http://www.scjbf.org The students perform in the local Branch Competition in order to qualify for the Regional Festival.

Deadline

• Application deadline: Thursday, March 2: one month prior to the Festival date.

Fees

• $25 (or $15 per student in ensemble). Send the fee payable to "MTAC Whittier Branch" to Chair Dr. Tom Strout. Address available: tbars@charter.net
 

Awards

• 1/3 of entries receive rosette "winners" ribbons
• all performers receive "participation" ribbons

Rules

Our Branch provides two Bach-Baroque Festivals for Strings. You may enter your students in our local Bach-Baroque Festival (see below) as well as in the Regional Junior Bach Festival provided at http://www.scjbf.org

Whittier Branch Bach-Baroque Festival for Strings

This is a local Festival and does not qualify your students for other levels of competition. Teachers may also skip this and apply directly to the Regional Junior Bach Festival for Strings provided at http://www.scjbf.org

Participation Rules

• Participant must be the student of active teacher-member of the MTAC Whittier Branch for at least 6 months prior to the festival date.

• Students of all levels are welcome to participate.
• Time limit: 5 minutes
• Original published music must be provided for the judges. No photocopies.
• Whittier Dress Code required.
